Manoj SachdevManoj Sachdev

A Canada Research Chair professor in electrical and computer engineering department at University of Waterloo. His research interests include low power and high performance digital circuit design, mixed-signal circuit design, test and manufacturing issues of integrated circuits. He has written five books, three book chapters, and has contributed to over 150 technical articles in conferences and journals. He holds more than 20 granted pending US patents in the broad area of VLSI circuit design and test. These patents are commercially exploited by several semiconductor companies such as Philips, and Intel Corporation. He received several awards including the 1997 European Design and Test Conference best paper award, the 1998 International Test conference honorable mention award, 2004 VLSI Test Symposium best panel award. He is a senior member of IEEE.

Dave SimmonsDave Simmons

A seasoned high tech executive with 24 years of experience in the development of semiconductor components in the communications, consumer electronics and broadcast video segments. He has in-depth knowledge of the full product development cycle: market research, identification of commercial requirements, development of a business plan, commissioning, design, verification, introduction, growth, maturity, and finally end-of-life. From 1999 to 2007 Dave was Director of Product Development at Gennum Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of semiconductor solutions for the global video and data communications markets. Prior to that he spent 16 years with Nortel Networks' Microelectronics Group with various roles in product marketing, product management, strategic planning , project management, design management, and integrated circuit design. He has a M.Sc. EE and B.Sc. EE, both from Queen's University; is a Professional Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario, and is a member of SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers).

David RennieDavid Rennie

David Rennie is responsible for research and technology development at CertiChip. He received his B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2001, 2003 and 2007 respectively. David's graduate work was focused on designing high-speed mixed signal circuits in CMOS. During his graduate studies he spent 2 work terms at Intel's Circuit Research Labs, designing high performance clock and data recovery circuits and power delivery circuits. David has also worked for several circuit design companies, including Genesis Microchip and Jaldi Semiconductors. He has authored or co-authored numerous journal papers and has three granted patents.
